Description
The ring type joint is designed to last in high pressure applications. It is a precision-engineered solid metal gasket that forms a metal-to-metal seal with flanges. The gasket cross-section is designed to concentrate the bolt load over a small area in order to produce a high seating stress. The ‘RX’ and ‘BX’ gaskets are designed to be pressure activated which improves the efficiency of the seal as the internal pressure of the system increases.
Application
Ring type joint gaskets are primarily used in the oil, gas and petrochemical and marine offshore industries, where high pressure applications call for an excellent seal. They are commonly used on valves, pipe assemblies and integrity vessel joints.
