Description
The type IMN sewage pump is a kind of volute pump with single stage single suction. These pumps are specifically designed for sewage pumping with entrained solid as well as fibers. The pump is specially designed with the objective of non – clog operation.
These pumps are also suitable for circulating water in power plants, irrigation for farm land and other fields. These pumps can operate reliably with high efficiency and low energy consumption.
The pumps are available in a variety of arrangements designated as follow:
IMN – Horizontal mounting, end suction;
IMNC – Vertical bottom suction pump with bolt construction elbow, motor is mounted on a pedestal attached to the pump, where the pump is coupled to the motor with a flexible coupling;
IMNV – Vertical bottom suction pump with bolt – on suction elbow, motor is mounted on a separate floor and is connected with vertical flexible shafting;
IMNF – Vertical, with bottom suction, motor mounted on and supported by pump;
IMNZ – Vertical, with bottom suction, motor mounted on floor above and connected to pump with universal drive sha?ft.
This pump has both vertical and horizontal configurations, for the vertical configuration, there are two types with bottom suction or suction elbow.
The pump may be coupled with motor directly, motor mounted on and supported by pump or connected through a universal drive shaft, the weight of the universal drive shaft will be born by the transmission device. The motor can also be installed on the transmission device connected by flexible coupling.
Removable and durable wearing rings are furnished on the impeller and suction head, arranged with the wearing surface, normal to the axis of rotation. When the wearing rings are worn out, just change the thickness of the gaskets to easily obtain the required clearance to keep the pump operating at optimum condition.
Hand holes on the pump casing and suction head are designed for convenient inspection and cleaning of the pump interior. Viewed from the driving end, all the pumps are rotating in clockwise direction, pumps of counter – clock-wise rotation can only be supplied upon special request.
Soft packing with split gland to facilitate re-packing. The shaft shall be protected from wear in the stuffing box by a shaft sleeve. Fresh cool water piped into the lantern ring in the stuffing box from the pump outlet should be at the pressure of 0. 5 kg/cm2 higher than maximum discharge pressure, mechanical seal is as specified.
