Omega provides 3 types of PABX systems: Digital PABX, IP PABX and Hybrid PABX.
Digital PABX:
– Encode analog sound into a digital format
– Typically encode the voice using a standard industry audio codec such as G.711
– Once encoded, the digitized voice is sent on a channel using circuit switching
IP PABX:
– Use “Voice over Internet Protocol”( VoIP) technology to transform high speed internet service into a phone line
– Convert voice into digitized packets and then put the digitized packets onto the data network.
– The voice packets are sent via packet switching
– Long term benefits for scalability, manageability and enhanced features
Hybrid PABX
– Provide both Digital and IP PABX capabilities with a mixture of analog, digital and IP-based communications
